CN STATION

ROOFING, EAVESTROUGH
THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO

Strasser & Lang worked with the project owner to update the roof on a Thunder Bay landmark, the CN Station. This structure presented a number of challenges due to its height, roof pitch, proximity to the train tracks, and limited access to the building. Additionally, the CN Station is a designated heritage building so Strasser & Lang was required to provide a roofing solution that satisfied the heritage committee. We ended up going with the CRC Regency Shingle due to its fabric-reinforced nailing strip to prevent shingle blow offs that are common for the windy waterfront area.
